What a wonderful Badminton for our riders. Sarah Stretton came 50th riding Skip On and we are so proud of Ben Way finishing 32nd with Galley Light at his first Badminton.
Ben had plenty of media attention too having taken part in the Badminton Grass Roots Championships in 2011 and now riding in the 4* - what a wonderful inspiration he is to all riders. Ben and Galley are certainly a combination to watch for the future!
"The whole experience was amazing and something I will never forget. The crowds and the atmosphere were unbelievable, especially on the Saturday. I was thrilled with how Galley went, and how he handled the Cross Country track. There is a huge amount that we can take out of the experience and build on for the future. Badminton confirmed our thoughts that we have a horse bold enough to jump around a 4* track, get the time, and come out fresh to show jump the next day. Winning the Laurence Rook Trophy for the best British Rider not to have previously competed at Badminton was a great end to the week. Galley will now have a well-deserved break, in the meantime we will make a plan for the rest of the season which will hopefully include Burghley in September. I want to thank everyone who has supported me, including Chestnut Horse Feeds" Ben Way
Congratulations to this year's winner William Fox-Pitt and Chilli Monring - great to see a British rider leading the way! You can find a full list of the final results by following this link: http://www.badminton-horse.co.uk/index.php/final-results-2015/
