| Chestnut Plus is an oat free feed consisting of barley, lucerne, wheat, maize and peas, molasses and soya oil and is ideal for promoting weight gain.
This blend of grains and oil provides high levels of protein, and is ideal to help promote growth and development in the pregnant mare, youngster or other horses requiring this higher level of nutrition. Chestnut Plus is also designed to meet the demands of the older horse in work or retirement, and those with poor teeth who may find that the more manageable size of ingredients within the feed allows them to chew their food more easily. If you require a fibre source to feed with Chestnut Competition mix try Chestnut Chomp (a long chop, high-fibre oat straw) or Chestnut Alpha Chomp (a high-fibre, higher protein long chop alfalfa).
