This ration was formulated as a special for one of our customers with eventing horses and stallions at stud, who had previously been feeding Chestnut Plus and Chestnut Chomp, but wanted a higher energy complete feed for ease of feeding to all their horses. The resulting Chestnut Alpha Plus was such a success that we have now included it in our feed range, and many of our customers have found it a highly palatable and convenient food for many types of working horse.

Research shows that the long chop length in Chestnut Alpha Plus produces significantly higher chew rates and extended feeding times, allowing a small amount of feed to occupy a horse for longer and therefore helping to reduce boredom. It may also facilitate optimum digestive health and allow you to feed your horse more naturally.
